At the end of this semester, I can say I have gained valuable knowledge and real-world experience that has helped me grow both academically and professionally. Through my coursework and internship at Dawes Fretzin Dermatology, I was able to apply what I learned in the classroom to a real healthcare setting. My experience with billing tasks, such as managing past-due accounts, preparing collections packets, and uploading insurance information, gave me a better understanding of how the administrative side of healthcare operates. Throughout the semester, I also improved important skills like time management, organization, and attention to detail. Overall, this semester helped me build confidence in my abilities and gave me a clearer understanding of my future career path in healthcare management.
